Why Choose Us · Sin Tat Plaza, Mong Kok
Why Choose Us? Over 20 Years of Phone Repairs at Sin Tat Plaza, Mong Kok
Mobile Repair Pro Shop has permanent premises at Shop G81B, G/F, Sin Tat Plaza, 83 Argyle Street, Mong Kok, with technicians inspecting and repairing phones on site. Our approach is simple: free inspection, a clear explanation of the fault and cost, then your approval before work. We test each function before collection and provide written warranties on major repairs. You can return whenever follow-up is needed.
Quick answer: Look for four things in a repair shop: permanent premises, free inspection and quote approval, the parts used, and written warranties. We provide all four at Shop G81B, G/F, Sin Tat Plaza, Mong Kok: inspection and quotation before approved work, quality-checked parts made to original specifications, full final testing and 1–3 month written warranties on major repairs (subject to the warranty document). Most iPhone screen replacement and Battery replacement repairs can be completed in 20–30 minutes for same-day collection. We are an independent repair shop, not an Apple Authorised Service Provider. If your device is still under the manufacturer's warranty, check the official service arrangements first (see the comparison below).

Repair commitments
Our 6 phone repair commitments
We follow these 6 standards for every phone repair, whether it is a screen replacement, battery replacement or liquid-damage recovery.
Free inspection first, rather than guesswork
One symptom can have several causes: a charging fault may be due to dust, a flex cable or the battery. We identify the cause before quoting.
Quote approval before work begins
We explain the plan, parts and costs and begin with your approval. If hidden issues emerge, we ask first rather than doing the work before telling you.
Quality-checked parts
We use parts made to original specifications, not poor-quality accessories of unknown origin, reducing the risk of screen colour differences, touch faults, swollen batteries and overheating.
On-site repairs, same-day collection
On-site technicians complete most screen and battery replacements in 20–30 minutes. You can wait in the shop without leaving the phone.
Full testing before collection
Test display, touch, Face ID or fingerprints, charging, cameras and speakers individually and confirm normal operation before collection (checklist below).
Written warranty with follow-up support
Major repairs include a written warranty. For component faults during the warranty period, bring the document back for a free recheck or follow-up.
Our handover standard
Post-repair checklist before collection
A repair is not complete just because a part has been replaced. Below are the checks we perform before collection for each repair type; you can check them with us.
| Repair service | Key checks before collection | Details page |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone screen replacement | Brightness, colour, touch, Face ID and True Tone | iPhone screen replacement |
| iPhone Battery Replacement | Charging, discharging and battery health percentage | iPhone Battery Replacement |
| Samsung screen replacement | Under-display fingerprint unlocking, camera focus and ambient light sensing | Samsung Repair |
| iPad screen replacement | Touch, Apple Pencil writing and pairing, and Face ID where supported | iPad Repair |
| MacBook Repair | Keyboard, battery, display and other functions | MacBook Repair |
| Charging Port Repair | Wired charging and data transfer | Charging Port Repair |
| Phone liquid damage repair | Startup and key functions; backup prioritised once it starts | Phone liquid damage repair |
| Data recovery | Confirm data completeness before handover | Data recovery |
| Software Troubleshooting | Confirm normal system operation | Software Troubleshooting |
Parts quality
Choosing phone repair parts: why cheaper is not always better
The practical risks of poor-quality parts
Parts quality varies across the industry. Unscreened displays may have inaccurate colours, low brightness, unresponsive touch or increased power use, while poor batteries can swell or overheat. Price differences often reflect parts quality, so the cheapest repair is not necessarily good value. We use only quality-checked parts made to original specifications and explain them beforehand so you know what you are paying for.
What is iPhone Parts and Service History?
Apple states that Parts and Service History in iOS Settings records repairs to most major components, such as the battery and display, making repair history more transparent. If this matters to you, tell the technician before repair. We will explain the parts options and their implications so you can decide.
Questions to ask before screen or battery replacement
- Parts used: Is the display OLED or LCD? What is the battery quality?
- Will functions be affected? Will Face ID, True Tone or fingerprint unlocking be affected?
- Warranty coverage: How long is the warranty, and does it cover user-caused damage?
- How long it takes: Can I wait while it is repaired?

An honest comparison
Official service, our shop or mobile stalls: which suits you?
We do not claim that every situation calls for our shop. Apple states that its limited warranty covers manufacturing issues for one year, excluding accidental damage and normal battery wear. Only repairs performed by Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider are covered by the Apple limited warranty and AppleCare plans. Apple's own repairs and replacement parts are covered for 90 days or the remaining warranty, whichever is longer. If your fault is covered by the manufacturer's warranty or AppleCare+, check official service first.
An independent specialist may be more practical for an out-of-warranty phone, accidental damage such as a cracked screen, parallel imports, used phones or urgent same-day collection. Avoid mobile stalls without a permanent location, even if cheaper: they lack a traceable address, and parts origins are hard to verify.
| Criteria | Apple, the manufacturer or an authorised repair provider | Our shop (independent phone repair specialist) | Stall With No Fixed Shopfront |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best suited to | Still under warranty or covered by AppleCare+ | Out of warranty, accidental damage, parallel imports / used phones or urgent use | Not recommended |
| Parts | Genuine parts | Quality-checked parts made to original specifications, explained before repair | Origin is difficult to verify |
| Turnaround | Depends on parts and appointments | 20-30 min, same-day for most repairs | Difficult to guarantee |
| How quotes are provided | Official pricing | Free inspection; work starts after quote approval | Transparency varies |
| Warranty | Official repairs are covered for 90 days or the remaining warranty, whichever is longer | 1–3 months' written warranty on major repairs (subject to the warranty document) | Often verbal promises only |
| Follow-up | Official channel | Direct follow-up at our permanent Mong Kok shop | Difficult to seek redress |
*Official terms are subject to the latest information from Apple or the relevant brand. Our terms are stated in the in-person quotation and written warranty.
