5 repair points customers mention most

The points below summarise customer experiences on this page and link to explanations of how we work.

01

Completed on site

Most screen and battery repairs take 20–30 minutes while you wait. See Turnaround times by repair type.

02

The final price matched the quote

We inspect before quoting and start only with approval. If new issues emerge, we always ask first. See Repair commitments.

03

Explain the warranty clearly

Major repairs include a written warranty; the period is stated in the warranty document.

04

Data First

For liquid-damaged or broken devices, we prioritise a backup once they start. See Data recovery.

05

No pressure to repair immediately

Free inspection and a clear explanation of your options, so you can take time to decide.

Liquid damage and data

Liquid damage and data recovery customer reviews

My iPhone wouldn't turn on after water damage — they managed to recover all my photos and contacts.
Mr. Lee Phone liquid damage repair

Every liquid-damaged device differs. Recovery depends on exposure duration, liquid type and whether startup or charging was attempted. Success is not guaranteed. For immediate first-aid steps, see 6 first-aid steps for a wet phone.

Android

Samsung and Google Pixel repair customer reviews

Samsung screen replacement done the same day — colour and touch feel great.
Mr. Ho Samsung Repair
Pixel wouldn't charge — after cleaning the port it worked again. Very quick.
Ms. Chow Google Pixel Repair

Samsung screen replacement requires attention to under-display fingerprints and AMOLED burn-in. There is also official guidance on protective films for foldables. See Samsung Repair; Pixel users can read Google Pixel Repair.

iPad and MacBook

My iPad screen was cracked — they replaced it on the spot and touch/display work perfectly.
Mr. Cheung iPad Repair
A few MacBook keys failed — fixed properly at a fair price.
Ms. Lam MacBook Repair

We test Apple Pencil writing and pairing after replacing an iPad screen. See iPad Repair; for MacBook keyboard faults, swollen batteries and liquid damage, see MacBook Repair.

Charging, software and general repairs

Mr. Ng Charging Port Repair
Apps kept crashing — after troubleshooting everything was stable, and they explained it clearly.
Mr. Tang Software Troubleshooting
Easy to find in Mong Kok, transparent pricing, and I got a written warranty after the job.
Mr. Choi General Repair Service

A charging failure does not always require a new port; cleaning often resolves it. See Charging Port Repair; for freezing, crashes and failed updates, see Software Troubleshooting.

Consumer tips

How can I assess phone repair reviews and avoid misleading claims?

Last updated: October 2026

Read the review content, not just the score

Useful reviews usually mention the repair, model, time taken, whether the price changed and how the device worked afterwards. Reviews saying only “great” or “recommended” provide less detail. Check dates too: recent reviews better reflect current service quality.

Also check independent platforms

Google's guidance states that a business publishing reviews of itself on its own website is not eligible for review-star display, even when using embedded Google Business or Facebook widgets. When choosing a repair shop, consult independent platforms such as Google Maps as well as the shop's website.

Watch for fake or incentivised reviews

Google's official guidance also prohibits fake reviews and reviews with undisclosed incentives, such as reviews not based on genuine experience or written for money, discounts, vouchers or free products without clear disclosure. Be cautious if many positive reviews have similar wording and appear within a short period.

What should I check besides reviews?

  • Permanent premises: A physical address and a point of contact after repair.
  • Inspection and quotation before repair: A shop should not guess a price without inspection or add charges midway.
  • Clear part types: We explain which parts will be used before repair. See Parts quality explained.
  • Written warranty: The warranty document states the period and scope of cover.
  • Testing before collection: Test each function before collection. See Pre-collection checklist.
